Relative to the Philippine Commission on Women Memorandum Circular 2019-02, FAME Leaders’ Academy holds a two-day workshop on Gender Planning and Budgeting for Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System and GAD members at Plenary Hall, Narra Building, Makati City last November 25-26, 2019.

GAD members from different agencies such as Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC), Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC), Games and Amusement Bureau (GAB), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), and Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) get involved in the two-day workshop.

The workshop aims to develop annual plans and budgets that are responsive to the practical and strategic needs of the key stakeholders and end-users of every agency the participants belong to. It also serves as a venue for the participants to review their formulated GAD agenda and ensures that their plans are not just grounded on mandates but also the gender issue being faced by their agencies.

Besides, participants were able to enrich and enhance their skills in technical writing of their annual GAD plans and budgets. Thus, the workshop doesn’t only provide step-by-step know-how in effectively formulating GAD Plans and budget, but also provided a venue for a consultation to the participants.
